Are you looking for something unique for your event? Consider hiring me as a harp soloist! I have performed for birthdays, baby showers, receptions, and entertainment in Assisted Living and Long Term Care facilities. The Celtic harp is portable making it easy to bring to a variety of locations. My harp has a surprising volume for its size but can be amped on request. I play a variety of repertoire including Celtic, Classical, and pop through the ages as well as a variety of seasonally appropriate themes. As a musician, I regularly perform as both a clarinetist and harpist. I have experience in large and small ensembles and as a soloist. I have played for weddings and events in the Lincoln, NE area for over ten years.
I also provide solo Wedding Harp Services. You can have elegant music for your wedding, customized to your religious requirements and preferences. I am available for outdoor weddings between May and September. The harp can be amped on request. In addition to performing prelude and ceremony music, I provide a complementary consultation to discuss your ceremony and the music that best fits your needs.
Wedding services include a complimentary consultation to discuss the structure of the ceremony and music preferences, as well as 20-30 minutes ceremony prelude, ceremony music, and up to 15 minutes of postlude. Attending the rehearsal and/or rehearsing with a vocalist or instrumentalist other than my partners is an additional fee. There may be additional fees depending on need for additional amplification, access to parking, and distance to the location of the event.
Repertoire includes Classical, Celtic and contemplative. I will work with you and the officiant to ensure that music chosen is appropriate for your religious tradition. Special requests will be considered with at least six weeks’ notice. The client will be notified if I am unable to honor the special request and alternatives will be suggested.
The harpist will perform for outdoor ceremonies under the following conditions
The outdoor event must take place between mid-May and Mid-September
The harp must be protected from direct sunshine and rain.
An alternate rain plan must be in place as the harp cannot be outside in the rain.
Decision and notification on the rain plan must take place at least three hours before the event
Preferred temperatures for outdoor events are 65-90 degrees Fahrenheit. The musicians will not play outside if the temperature is below 55 or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
The area where the musicians perform should be stable and fairly flat
The musician will provide her own stand, chair, lighting and amplification, when needed.

Jennifer has been playing the harp for over twenty years. She began playing the harp as a music therapy intern. She loved the idea of using the soothing sounds of the harp to help patients deal with pain and has spent many hours playing at bedside for hospice patients and withdrawn nursing home residents. It wasn't long before Jennifer was requested to play for church services, receptions, and weddings. She has played for the 2005 and 2006 Arbor Day Celebration in Nebraska City, the 2005 Silent Auction and Wine tasting for local support group Charlie Brown's Kids, a benefit concert for the Child Advocacy Center the Christmas Eve service at Calvary Methodist church, special entertainment for a variety of local retirement homes, and for a number of weddings in beautiful outdoor settings such as the Doane College Amphitheatre, Capitol Beach Lake, the Pillars at Pioneer Park, and the Sunken Gardens. Jennifer also appeared at the James Arthur Vineyards Renaissance Festival and the Nebraska Renaissance Faire. She has performed as part of the City of Lincoln's "That's Entertainment" series and the Celebrate Lincoln Ethnic Festival.
