A Great Balancing Act

I love the book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! By Dr Seuss. My copy has been well loved by me and my children. The cover is taped together and some of the pages have been ripped or scribbled on. This week has been especially busy but I still managed to do some re-focusing and prioritizing. This line from the book came to mind “So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and Remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act.” There has been a lot to balance! Trying to help my children through transitions and help them to be successful adults, community volunteer work, performing, and my business. I have a digital to-do list and it tends to get a little bloated. This weekend, I moved a number of items to “the parking lot”. Those goals are still important but don’t need to be done right now. Simplifying my list freed up a lot of mental energy that can be spent on the things that matter most!

How do you simplify and focus?
